Welcome to Ottershaw Christ Church C of E Infant and Junior School website!

We hope our website gives you a flavour of the aspirations we have for our children and the pride we have in our schools.

We place very strong emphasis on providing a nurturing and inclusive environment which is welcoming to all and that encourages children to be ‘motivated to learn, empowered to achieve'.

We are located in the heart of the Ottershaw community on two adjoining sites sharing extensive school grounds and playing fields. Our children join us from a wide catchment area – including Ottershaw, Addlestone, Chertsey, Lyne and Maybury and we cater for children from 3 years of age in our nursery, up to Year 6 when children are 11 years old and move on to secondary school.

We are very proud of our children at Ottershaw and have created a ‘child-centred’ community which is friendly, caring and sensitive to every child’s individual needs. We offer a broad range of educational experiences enabling each child to achieve their full potential whilst in a happy and secure environment.

The personal, social and emotional development of children is equally important to us as the academic and intellectual aspects of education.

Our schools pride themselves on having an open and welcoming approach to parents and all who visit our school community. Views are sought, valued and listened to. Parents are welcome to come into school to help and support the children, whether in the classroom, hearing readers, or working with small group activities. Our school visits are always popular with our parent volunteers.

We see education as a very real partnership between home and school to enable us to work together for the benefit of the children.

Our website is only ‘one window’ to our schools. You are most welcome to visit and see for yourself the happy and positive ethos that Ottershaw Christ Church C of E Infant and Junior Schools have to offer.

We hope to see you soon.
